ERAD2024Awards

Differen awards are issued during ERAD2024.

As tradition for ERAD, two awards are issued during the conference: the best oral presentation, and the best poster presentation. Participants must be

• students (master, graduate, or PhD) not older than 35 years old (at the date of 9 September 2024)
• presenting Author of the submitted abstrct
• regularly registered to the ERAD 2024 conference.

A committee appointed by program committee will evaluate the presentation of the candidates and the winners will be announced during the closing cerimony of the conference. To participate to the award, please tick the field “award competitor” in the registration form during the registration process.

To celebrate our late colleague Frank Silvio Marzano, who gave birth to the idea of hosting ERAD in Rome, during the conference the cerimony for the Marzano award “Gutta Aurea”, issued by the Prof. Frank Silvio Marzano Association – ” Per Aspera Ad Astra ” will also be celebrated. The prize  is for outstanding contributions by individuals in their mid-career to remote sensing applied to atmospheric sciences, meteorology, and telecommunications. After the ceremony a keynote will be presented by the winner.

Finally, four participation awards will be issued by ERAD organization committee. The winners will attend the conference without paying the registration fee. This awards are for young researchers (not older than 35 years old at the date of 9 September 2024). To apply for this award the young researchers has to:

–    Submit an abstract to ERAD2024 as first Author before 15 March

–    Send in one single file his/her CV and scan of ID document at awards@erad2024.it
The Program and organization committee will assign the award based on the evaluation of the CV and on the novelty and quality of the submitted abstract. The winners will be contacted individually before 5 April 2024 and announced during the ERAD 2024 conference.
